Here you can find the timetable for the Gornergrat Railway – your convenient access to a mountain experience at over 3,000 metres above sea level. The valley station of the Gornergrat Railway is directly opposite the railway station in Zermatt. The seasonally adjusted timetable enables trips 365 days a year, from morning to evening. Current Timetable until April 21, 2025
During the winter season, we offer regular connections between Zermatt and the Gornergrat. The first ascent departs from Zermatt at 8:24 am, and the last descent from Gornergrat leaves at 8:07 pm, arriving in Zermatt at 11:15 pm. During the day, trains run every 24 minutes, allowing you to plan your trip flexibly.
Seasonal Times and Train Schedule
Trains generally operate on a regular schedule from around 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Before 8:00 am and after 5:00 pm, additional trains are offered outside the regular schedule. The timetable is adjusted according to the season.
