The village of Zermatt is car-free. We recommend traveling by public transport. Thanks to excellent connections, you can comfortably reach Zermatt by train while enjoying the breathtaking Alpine scenery along the way. The convenient location of the Gornergrat Railway valley station, directly opposite the main train station, makes it easy for you to access even more stunning views.
Easy Connections
The Swiss Federal Railways will take you comfortably to Visp. From there, the picturesque journey continues with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, leading you directly to the center of Zermatt.

Arrival by Car
Alternatively, you can drive to Täsch by car and take the shuttle train from there to Zermatt. The Matterhorn Terminal car park in Täsch offers secure accommodation for your vehicle with 2,100 covered parking spaces. If you arrive with an electric car, there are 131 parking spaces with charging stations available at the terminal.
Under the same roof, you'll find the station with comfortable shuttle trains to Zermatt. The fast and convenient journey takes only 12 minutes. Luggage carts are available for your luggage, which you can also take on the train to Zermatt.
